Beats By Dre Headphones

In the course of the making of this genius set of device, Dr. Dre did say, and I quote, “People aren’t hearing all the music. With Beats, people are going to hear what the artists hear, and listen to the music the way they should: the way I do. With this I was very intrigued and hence the weighing on the on the Beats Audio sound quality. I wanted to find out whether the set really was worthy of the two years of hard work that it took Dre, Monster and Brunner to complete it.

Noise cancellation

This is probably one of the most striking features of the set. On the right ear cup, there is a minute button that switches the set on and off, at the same making it easy to initiate the noise cancellation effect. Moreover, you must have noticed that Beats log on the left cup. That is not to be confused for decoration, since it is a button that serves the push-to-hear control function. This cuts out the music and the noise cancellation simultaneously to make hearing your surrounding easy if you would want to, hence no need of removing the entire set.

Sound quality

It may surprise you that the beats by Dre have a nauseating effect on the user. Alas! That is just but a stereotype, which has been a null hypothesis with no confidence level at all to base the argument on. The best part is that the set has steady highs and smooth pumping bass. However, the most surprising part is that, these output are based on a volume level of less than half the total volume level. Therefore, if you are the full-blast rock fanatic, then this set would do you good. So, with this set, there is no need of cranking up the volume to maximum unlike other sets.

The Audio Output

The bass may have been earlier on overemphasized, as the device is more of a Stereo headset. This contorts the sound result since not every sound file is entitled to intense bass. This device has a fluctuating sound spectrum that jumps up to 7 dB (Deci Bells). This in turn has an effect on the output frequency as it is forced to scale from 100 Hz to 600 Hz. Since this is the basic sound output, you may find no need of using san equalizer irrespective of the song you are listening to. Hence, there is a constant audio precision for both bass and non-bass dependent songs…quite a touché, don’t you think?

Soundproof mechanism

You may be that sound engineer, artist or even producer to whom sound means a lot. This set would most satisfy your desire as it has a sound proof mechanism. The mechanism ensures that all the sound from the output device is received fully, with no loss to the external environment. This is made possible by the presence of plugs, sort of ear plugs that attach to the earlobe when one wears the headset. Therefore, you are most likely to concentrate on your music production in the best environment possible.

As a pointer, it is evident that the set is really worth the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $250 and allegations that the set has a commuter (Dr. Dre’s fame) oriented marketing should not be taken into consideration.
